Black beans are a great protein source for any vegan or vegetarian. Beef has approx 14g of protein per 100gm, while black beans have 22g per 110gm. I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again, never let anyone tell you that you can’t get protein as a vegan! This is a simple recipe, but also has instructions on how to make homemade guacamole which can be a whole lot cheaper when avocados are cheap.
Note, the recipe includes cheese. You can either use your favourite soy cheese, or go without. It doesn’t ruin the meal to go without cheese!
